Interview Of The Month || Marcos Salon

An exciting part of an interview is when you read that the artist and the interviewer had met in some hotel lobby or in the backstage area just before the party. For our  interview  neither happen  and it only occured a file transfer consisting the 7 interview questions.  Even so, there are alot of 'signs' given through to be able to understand the nature of the person highlighted. One sign being the fact that answers came in red-coloured font, for this reveals an artistic personallity, anything is thoughted and creatively demostrated, instead of just type the answers. Another 'sign' is the fact that 2nd question had been rejected for being mundaine. We trully thank him for his honesty, his opinion and for daring to do so. He Who Dares.

Above all the following interview is of
Marcos Salon( Outlander)

1. What plays in your car ?
easy one, I have no car and i dont walk around with a music player. I prefer to get surprised when i go out and hear new stuff for the first time. It's way more exciting then playing your favourite tunes over and over again.

3. What is one subgenre you think doesn't get the attention it deserves?
the moment a subgenre gets the attention it deserves it's game over for quality because everybody jumps on that novelty and quality goes down. Let a subgenre be a subgenre. real music lovers will know where to look.

4. What is one track that never gets old for you no matter how many times you hear it?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOLE1YE_oFQ
goosebumps every time

5. As both a Dj/Producer , which side are you on : entertainment or educational ?
More and more educational. I love to help new talent and at the same time it keeps me up to date with what's going around.

6. Do you walk around humming melodies?
Not very often, i am a horrible singer/hummer

7. Your message to Report2Dancefloor Radio ( including your plans ahead )
Thanks for all the positive feedback, happy faces is my main goal. Joining livesets together with Olivier Abbeloos from T99, that could give some fireworks on the dancefloor.

3rd Annual w/ Ed Zy & Marcos Salon |

Report2Dancefloor Radio is a day to day collective team work for the love of music that comes from the early years of electronic to today, based on communication and exchange of anything that belongs in the dance scene and more. With a principle to be open-minded we would like to praise the producers that have given us the grounds and the tunes that stand faintless in time, that have left memories from the best moments of our youth. The music that we can see just how much influences all the people who try to carry on the energetic creativity of dancefloor action. To be able to understand alot more about the concept of the very much desired notion, called 'music' . Best way to achieve it? Hear it from the Masters themselves.
We are very honoured to have exclusively for us
Ed Zy (Unique3)  &  Marcos Salon  (Outlander)
Unique 3 stormed the warehouses of the late 80’s with a torrid cocktail of Soul, Hip Hop, early Break-Beat, and the Bleep rhythms. Unique 3 have carved a mark in every ravers heart with utterly mesmerising tracks. Ed Zy was more to Unique3 than working on synths, though he was the man who brought the 'bleep' inside. He took up band's management and pushed things forward with turning down labels in favour of other, he influenced the band’s image by his own likes being a street art lover, which concequended  the cover of Unique3's 1st album was by a street graffiti team and by Ed Zy' s choice.  Had a major vinyl distribution company in UK and still runs FUNKLABS.co.uk

Marcos Salon  is a well known name to any techno head. Creator of 'The Vamp', which sounds just as fresh today as it did upon release 25 years ago, He is an allround studio wizard involved in such diverse projects as Liasons-D, In-D, TZ, Telepaticos and the man behind the mastering of cutting edge house label "We Play House Recordings". Marcos has never stopped being busy with music, and recently he decided to bring his Outlander sounds back on stage with a killer lives. Energetic, raving, utterly musical Outlander live is just what you need to get the dancefloor into a state of raving bliss. A revival of things past? As far as Marcos is concerned the spirit of the oldskool has never left!
